The Consular Section of this Web site provides information regarding entry visas into Cambodia for foreign nationals, as well as extending the validity of Cambodian Passports for Cambodian citizens residing in the US.

Please drop off your visa applications before noon. Standard service time is 5 business days*. Please pick up your passports between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

The office closes on observed holidays (listed on the Public Holiday page).

  • Extension Cambodian Passport: The requirements for extension the validity of your Passport are:
    • Complete one application form,
    • Copy greencard or other related document (see on the form), fee ; and prepaid return envelope (read below). The passport is also required to mail with the above documents. Standard service time is between 1 and 5 business days.
  • Visa: Please print and complete the visa application form (this form can be filled out on your computer) and attach a photo of Applicant on the form. Mail to the Embassy the completed form with passport and application fee (check or money order made payable to "Royal Embassy of Cambodia").
  • Extending your visa: Your visa can be extended while you are in Cambodia. Diplomatic (A), Official (B) and Courtesy (C) visas can be extended at the Ministry of Foreign affairs and International Cooperation, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The Business (E) Visa can be extended for one month, three months, six months or twelve months ( can be single or Multiple entries ) at the Immigration Department in front of Phnom Penh Airport ). The Tourist (T) visa can be extended for an additional a month only at the Immigration Department in front of Phnom Penh Airport).

Note: For secure and prompt return of your passport and other documents, the Royal Embassy of Cambodia requires return mail or Courier arrangements to be submitted with an applicant's for visa issuance. The Embassy is not responsible for correspondences via regular mail that is not traceable. The following are considered to be traceable mail: Courier Services (Airborn Express- DHL- Fed Ex- RPS- UPS), US Postal Service (Express Mail, Certified Mail, or Registered Mail).
